Abstract: This study investigates the impact of music education in enhancing cognitive development and creativity among preschool children in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The objective is to examine the impact of music education programs on children's cognitive abilities, emotional expression, and creative thinking skills. A survey research design is chosen to gather quantitative data on the cognitive and creative outcomes associated with participation in music education programs. A sample size of 200 preschool children aged 3-5 years will be purposively selected from various nursery schools known for integrating music education into their curricula in Kaduna State. Purposive sampling ensures representation of children exposed to different levels of music education intensity. The case study approach will focus on specific nursery schools recognized for exemplary music education practices. Findings indicate significant improvements in cognitive abilities, emotional expression, and creative thinking skills among children engaged in music education. Recommendations emphasize the integration of music education into early childhood curricula across all educational institutions in Kaduna State to optimize cognitive and creative development outcomes for preschoolers.
